Position Overview: The Customer Service Representative contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital.

Essential Functions:

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.

Position Overview: The veterinary assistant provides support to the veterinarians and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment, feeding, exercising and grooming patients, preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, restraining and handling patients, and clerical and administrative work. Ophthalmology:

We are an AAHA accredited ophthalmology center near Seattle and consist of two locations – Kirkland and Renton (16 miles apart). We have been in practice for over 20 years and currently have 3 board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists. Each location is well-established and has a diverse and robust caseload. We have state-of-the-art equipment at both locations including diode endolaser units, Zeiss operating microscopes, phacoemulsification units, slit-lamp biomicroscopes, binocular indirect ophthalmoscopes, direct ophthalmoscopes, Tono-Pen and TonoVet tonometers, gonioscopic lenses, computerized ERG equipment, ocular ultrasound, nitrous oxide cryosurgical units, nerve stimulators, CO2 lasers, end-tidal CO2 monitors, direct & indirect blood pressure monitors, ventilators and sevoflurane anesthesia.

Both hospitals are located near the edges of Lake Washington with just the lake separating us from the city of Seattle. Essential Functions:

• Provide compassionate care to all patients
• Greet patients and their owners as they arrive and show them to an examining room, taking the patient's weight and other vital signs upon arrival
• Triage patients, perform physical exams, treatments, and administer medication as directed by the licensed veterinary technicians (LVT's).
• Calm and soothe anxious patients
• Assist doctors and technicians with the administration of medications or with patient restraint
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs

Your responsibilities include those that are standard to a licensed veterinary technician. As a technician you are expected to work closely and communicate well with the doctors and assistants to help manage/delegate patient care efficiently. Also, responsible for patient care in the following capacities: facilitating outpatient treatments, performing laboratory tests, surgery prep and assistance, anesthesia monitoring and recovery, triaging, admitting and discharging patients, and client communication and education. Inventory duties would be completing weekly inventory, ordering drugs and supplies. Maintaining and updating our practice management system.

Essential Position Functions:

• Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans and records, completing laboratory tests and studies, and diagnostic imaging.
