Dr. Victoria Jones, Renton Veterinary Ophthalmologist

Dr. Victoria Jones

Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists

Dr. Jones earned her veterinary degree in 1992 at the University of Illinois, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Cornell University. From 1993-1997, Dr. Jones completed a comparative ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri. The residency was combined with a graduate program and in 1997, Dr. Jones received her Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery for the study of diagnostic testing for feline herpesvirus. The same year, Dr. Jones passed her board examinations and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (DACVO). Her special interests within the field of veterinary ophthalmology include intraocular surgery and ocular manifestations of systemic disease.

On a more personal note, Dr. Victoria Jones is originally from the Chicago area. She practiced in West Palm Beach, Florida for 1.5 years before moving to Washington. Family is everything to her. Her favorite thing to do is to spend time with her family and her pets. She has identical twin sons, Connor, and Matthew, who were born in November of 2006. Her other "kids" include her 2 cats (Wonka Bar, and Twix) and her 4 dogs (a middle-aged Yorkshire Terrier rescue named Gabby, two young Cavalier King Charles Spaniels named Reno and Raisin, and a rescue Australian Shepherd named Coconut). Other family pets are a rabbit (Chica Bun Bun), a pug (Loki), and a large tropical fish tank full of fish!
